Rent Broadway Soundtrack

My daughter (honor student) graduates from high school this year. We love Rent.?
We have the soundtrack, script, DVD, I saw him New Haven in a local theater. She takes to New York only once. I was thinking of surprising her with tickets to Broadway to see it. Yes, tickets are $ 150 each one. What do you think? Actually (money wise) fail to do great things together – we go shopping, go to fairs, have children — you better not be reading this or all bets are off! Love, Mom
If so much love Rent, I think in honor of his honor student in this way is a wonderful idea! My first thought was that now that there is a movie rental is out on DVD, this could cause some people to be disappointed with the theatrical production. This happened with my daughter and me "Chicago", which saw the first film and after the show. However, in our case, we saw Rent on Broadway a few years ago before the movie came out and I think the film really helps to fill in the gaps and make the show more understandable. So I think that enhance their DVD viewing experience to see the show. Anyway, I see a Broadway show together is a great way for a mother and daughter to spend time together. And the fact that expose her daughter to the ideas expressed in Rent shows you are great mom! It is the perfect "right of passage" for sending them to school!

Wicked (2003 Original Broadway Cast) $9.90 One of the most common complaints about musicals is that the books are flimsy pretexts from which to hang numbers. Wicked runs into the opposite problem: it has a great plot, but too often the songs just get in the way. Based on Gregory Maguire’s novel of the same name, Wicked tells us what happened between Glinda the Good and Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West, before Dorothy showed up in Oz. … |
