Is the female MC dead?
I have watched producers like Timbaland and Pharell use Fergie and Gwen Stefani rappin on there tracks recently. I feel as though right now the female MC is dead. Past MC’s such as Queen Latifah, Lauryn Hill and MC Lyte are a distant memory today. Foxy Brown seems unfocused, Lil Kim is a complete mess, Remy Ma is Locked up, Missy Elliot is more pop than hip hop, and Eve has gone hollywood. The jury is still out on Nicki Minaj. The best female MC that I have actually seen lately is Persia from that white rapper show. What do u think?
