Outstanding Afri – American Men – Morgan Freeman

Always able to evoke any broad praise from critics or audiences with his brilliant performance in each paper you have to cover a large variety of human characters, Morgan Freeman could be said to have made its way to being one of the most respected figures in modern U.S. cinema.

Morgan Freeman was born in Memphis, Tennessee, on June 1, 1937. Were rough years, with the crash of Wall Street going through to the great drought, and then the war in Europe. Their parents worked in a hospital, trying to keep a family that eventually included six children – five boys and one girl. When Morgan was very young, like many other workers in the South, his mom and dad immigrated to Chicago in search of work in factories. Morgan went to live with his grandparents in Charleston, Mississippi, where his earliest memories are formed and where he still owns a house.

Growing up, the Freeman family moved a little from Greenwood, Mississippi, Gray, Indiana and Chicago, Illinois. Morgan takes into acting at an early age after which starred a school play when he was eight. Then, at the age of 12, he won a contest theater in the state.

Although Morgan had the opportunity to attend college on a theater scholarship offered by Jackson State University, decided to work for the U.S. Air Force as a mechanic instead. After passing through the Air Force moved to Los Angeles in the 1960s.

It is a career that began mid-1960s, when Freeman appeared in an off-Broadway production Niggerlovers and Pearl Bailey in an African-American Broadway production, all of Hello Dolly! In 1968. He went on to have a successful career on and off-Broadway, showing his talents in everything from musical Shakespeare to contemporary drama.

Although his first appearance in film was accredited in 1971 Who says you can not ride a rainbow?, Freeman was released in the American media through roles on the soap opera Another World and children's PBS Electric Company.
