Do you think Vanity Fair is *gasp* prejudice?
(The “IT” fashion bible to women and gay men) came out with it’s yearly “New Hollywood” issue featuring “Every woman on its new cover is extremely thin and very, very white.”
Okay, even though I think there are far more talented individuals in young Hollywood that should’ve been featured in place of some talent-less posers (Kristen Stewart anyone? *Ducks from flying tomatoes and death threats).
I mean really people, how far does one have to go to blow things WAY out of proportion. Did anybody expect this magazine to actually showcase the real talents of young Hollywood actress’ like:
Gabourey Sidibe (If you have NOT seen Precious, you should be ashamed of yourself.)
Zoe Saldana
Rosario Dawson
Kristen Kreuk
Those are off the top of my head and if little ole’ me could think of those names off the top of my head, editors paid to think of these things everyday could do better than I.
What do you all think?
Everyone is WAY overreacting about this. It is ridiculous. So? They are all white. They didn’t pick people just because they were white and not black.
They chose the people that deserved to be on the cover. Stupid people are blowing this out of proportion. Ugh.
