Are you convinced that men have walked on the moon?
Conspiracy theorists would argue that the greatest hoaxes have yet to be officially revealed – one of the most obvious examples of their mistrust being the Apollo moon landings. Evidence, they say, abounds to prove the film of Neil Armstrong’s triumphant 1969 moonwalk was actually taken in a Hollywood studio. ‘Why were there no stars?’ they cry. ‘Isn’t that a clearly visible stage-marking on the supposed moon rock? And why does the American flag mysteriously appear to be blowing in the wind… on the atmosphere-free moon?’ Those on NASA’s side have ready answers for all these accusations, but who really knows? One of these years some disgruntled NASA employee’s deathbed confession could provide the final piece of the puzzle…
Look up 1969 moon landing video and look again at the flag. Staging what was not possible at the time would have provided a shot of patiotism and given them the green light to spend more money with less opposition.
No, I am not convinced. There have been cover-ups by the government which have come to light over the years, and I have become somewhat of a skeptic. In the race for space and world powers trying to psyche each other out throughout history, a hoax is possible. The theorists do have some points even if the moonwalk did occur. Both sound plausible with no way to be 100% sure. I think your last sentence sums it up completely. Maybe we will know without a doubt someday.
