Just bought a GROUPON for $60 at La Velvet Margarita Cantina in Hollywood and would like to hear any reviews/opinions on the place. Not sure if I want to give it away as a gift or keep it for myself. Thanks!

I think it’s just okay. I’ve been there 3 or 4 times and the service is usually awful. The food is alright, but not the best Mexican I’ve ever had. A lot of people like the dip trio you get at the beginning, but I don’t like that one of the dips is a bean dip – it goes cold fast. All of their entrees are $15, and there’s a good variety. Their drinks are strong and good, but pricey. For what it’s worth, I’d go, especially if you are going to a show or movie afterward, but I think there are better restaurants in the area, like Boho, Ivan Kane’s, Citizen Smith and Lucky Devil’s.
