Hollywood Dreams Made Real

how hard is it to become a hollywood actress ?
i want to become a hollywood actress and if i ask people , all they say is that its too hard and i dont have a chance at it . basically, theyre telling me to give up on my dream and actually study other things and have real careers like lawyers, nurses, teachers, etc . i want to act in movies, really and thats in hollywood but im not sure . for the last two weeks , i only heard answers that made me unsure . i dont want to live on a low income suffering to pay my rent or so . please advice . i cant sing or dance .. i thought i should get some school play experiences and get an agent and try commercials . and i heard agents are hard to gett .. i dont think i reallly stand OUT so it might be difficult .. people say its useless to be and actor ?
I’ll tell you something I’ve learned rather recently. Well… actually, I’ve known it for a while… but I only really understood it fully recently. If you want something, go for it with EVERYTHING you’ve got. Do that… and I promise you you WILL be noticed. Nothing is impossible.
Yes, I won’t lie, the chances of you getting to be a big time actress is slim! Especially when you think of all the people that are born with the natural talent of singing, dancing, AND acting. However, your devotion and persistance will not go unnoticed and WILL make a difference. Think about it, SOME people become actresses! It isn’t COMPLETELY impossible! NEVER… and I repeat NEVER count yourself out before you even try. Nothing is impossible.
Get into school plays now!!! It’s a VERY good idea. I’m not even considering acting seriously, but I’m participating in my second school play now. If you like acting, you’ll know it when you do your first play. If you don’t like acting… you’ll find that out with your first play. Maybe commercials… not movies are more your thing? You’ll find that out. More importantly, you’ll have the expirience and you can write it on resumes. The more plays you are in the better! After high school, participate in other plays. They are plays put on that are not affiliated with schools. My sister got in one. (Meaning it can’t be that difficult. Haha! ; ) ) So put forth all possible effort and go for it! Nothing is impossible!
NEVER give up on your dreams! And remember, nothing is impossible if you work hard enough to get it. And when I say you have to be persistant. Go and do as many possible school plays as possble. Take them seriously and do the best you can. (All the while practice singing and dancing constantly.) Then go to your director for the plays and tell him you are serious about wanting to become an actress. Ask him for advice on what he/she thinks you should improve on. Then ask him/her what you should do and where to go to pursue acting as a career. This person will probably be the most helpful to you in giving you all the information you need to get you started. Talk to your high school play director instead of relying completely on your guidance counsler. Trust me on that one. And write EVERYTHING your play director tells you down.
Best of luck and NEVER give up!
