Hollywood Centerpieces
Old Hollywood Theme????
I hate traditional centerpieces, so I am doing my wedding centerpieces themed to classical old hollywood movies. Because it reflects my fiance’s and I personalities.
Like at one table we are doing Dr. No, with a martini shaker, martini glass, bowtie and pearls sprawled all out. We will give it a romantic touch by sparwling small candles, flower petals and in the martini glass will be a floating daisy.
Please help me get idea’s about how I can tie in movies like:
Gone with the wind
Casablanca
Sabrina
My Fair Lady
Some Like it hot
Breakfast at Tiffany’s
Gentlemen prefer blondes….
Stuff like that…

What a truly unusual idea!
Gone with the Wind is hard because I don’t consider it really a love story or a particularly romantic, Casablanca you could set a model plane of the table or a piano.
For Sabrina (or for An Affair to Remember), you could use a model of the Empire State Bldg, or a crusie ship.
My Fair Lady – a basket of flowers (or a whellbarrow) or a record player with the horn (I can’t think of the exact name) or a metronome.
Breakfast at Tiffany’s would be dark glasses, or a ukelele.
Genetlemen Prefer Blondes….oooo, that’s a tough one. Again perhaps a cruise ship, a set of wooden deck chairs, or a couple of ostrich feather fans. or maybe jewelry boxes filled with “diamonds”.
From Hre to Eternity, could be a fishbowl with sand in it and and rocks with maybe hibiscus or leis.
