Hollywood 48 Hr Miracle Diet
How come fad diets work, but “healthy” ones don’t?
Because my mom kept telling me, “oh that Hollywood 48-hour miracle diet isn’t gonna work..” And I got SO tired of it! And I said, “what do u suggest i do hmmm?!?!” she said, “walk.” and i said, “oh ok mom. I’m just going to walk 30 minutes a day, instead of doing weightlifting or cardio everyday for 1 hr 30 min. And walking is OBVIOUSLY the ONLY way to lose weight.” (I’m ALREADY healthy, I just need to tone up. And I have to use sarcasm with my mom..so she can get it through her head. She thinks she’s right, and the doctors wrong.) And so after that 48 hour diet..guess what??! SIZE 1 BABY! And it seems that ALL the fad diets work, but the “healthy” ones don’t. And the weight stays off when I do the fad diets. Why is this?
I DIDN’T do the walking. I did 1hr 30 minutes of cardio daily and had 1200 calories. And there was NO weightloss until I started these “fad diets”
Sorry, your mother is right. You’re looking at the quick fix, your mother is looking at your whole life. Sure,the fad diets work short term. If you really want to lose weight fast, just don’t eat for a few days and you’ll lose weight all right. Don’t drink anything for a couple of days and you’ll lose weight too. But you can’t keep doing that and stay healthy. If you want to stay healthy and at a good weight, you have to eat a balanced diet of the right amount of food and get some exercise. The quick fixes often bounce back at you. If you eat nothing but apples and yogurt for 3 days, chances are that by the end of those 3 days you’ll be sick of them, so the first thing you do when you come off the diet is go have a hot fudge sundae, or a half a loaf of bread, and there goes your lost weight.
