Broadway To Hollywood
At 28 you think it is too late to attepmt to break into Hollywood, Broadway, Theater?
I've been looking for auditions local, even considered moving to Los Angeles, Florida, or Vegas .. to see if I could get some kind of hearing. I've been to a few when I was younger, but now I'm older I'm a little nervous about it. More reservations guess. Any advice is welcome!
I'm twice his age and just starting in the cinema. casting directors do not care how old you are, is the age you are looking for. Until we begin to receive payment of the papers, do not bother with an agent. One does not need one yet. casting directors that people, not actors. Look around, you see people over 28 years? Trust me, Brad Pitt could probably play 75, but not is likely that he would be cast. Embrace your car. Do not worry about being too old, too young, too fat, too thin, too anything. Whatever it is, in physical fitness in a type of marketing. Find out what this guy is and exploit it. I heard this story, I do not know if it is true, that explains my point of Beautifly. Christopher Walken began as a song and dance man on Broadway and was beginging to make his move at the movies. He has always played the kind of romantic role. LA wanted play as the heavy, more psychotic, the better. Mr. Walken does not say, "Hey, I'm not that kind of person." He played to type and was hired again and again. Now he can play that man could lead, if he wants. Hell, even play the comedy, because if he wants his show has confirmed that Christopher Walken can bring when it is released. OK, I'm getting off my soap box now. You can improve hireability acting in community theater. The casting directors of people love the theater. They love to see theater in the curriculum. This not only shows a desire to act, shows the discipline to see through projects. It also lets you do some quality.
