South Williamsburg in Brooklyn is really dangerous?
I live in South Williamsburg, Brooklyn (Broadway & Rodney) and I have been here for about Six months. People tell me the neighborhood is safe – I do not feel that way (and I'm waiting to get out of my contract!). My apartment was also stolen three months after moving – And when I walk down the street, I'm very on guard. Am I being ridiculous? I lived on the Lower East Side for 10 years and never felt this way? Can anyone tell me about this neighborhood? It just seems really poor and desperate. Am I being too dramatic?
