UPDATED-How do I audition for Maureen in Rent?
This is what we know so far and I will pass on to you. In most RENT audition, it is customary to sing a rock / pop so any song music lyrics are often not what the director is looking for. I need a song rock that actually talks about something that Maureen talk. Also, I have a monolauge. If it is advisable to take some of the work or not, I do not use an income because monolauge I think that would be too obvious to do. I want a monologue, which would be similar to the style that most of the Moon is written. I've seen the Broadway play and as the recent film, plus clips of original Broadway cast. So do not hesitate to refer to anything. Maureen mannerisms that have are great if you can think of any. Finally, the choice of clothing. I do not need a pole just on clothing but if you have any suggestions, please send, along with anything that you have for me. Please do not be stupid. Thanks:)
For a song, look at the songs of tick, tick, Boom, the music was written by Jonathon Larson, who also wrote the music for Rent. My favorite is' Come to your senses, but not exactly rock. I also like to see some songs in Los Altos as "When your home. For monologues, perhaps something of a gypsy or hair. I know that are not in the same style as rent, but I think that some of your best options. I hope I helped!
