Is the Broadway area in the center a dangerous place to be during the day time?

Mainly I want to take pictures of the fronts of age in the Broadway theater in the center …..??? Not a good idea. I told a coworker americanmexican older who grew up in Los Angeles since 1950 1980 .. is not such a good idea cause of all types of ghetto that could steal from my wallet and camera while in the center area of Los Angeles …. Is this true?!

You will be fine. Put your wallet in front pocket, and hold on to your camera, because although there may be many cars and people happens, you can get robbed really quickly. I would say use common sense, but I learned that not everyone has common sense. So do not flash anything as a good watch, and do not show a lot of money. Do not stick out, try to blend in. Be aware of your surroundings, but not to the point that you are alert everyone that their attention.
