Broadway Musicals Show By Show

Is it too late to think of Broadway?
I have loved you from the Broadway show …. whenever I can remember. I can sing, but want to be able to conquer my fear of singing in front of people before doing anything. I have taken dance classes before, but I have never taken acting classes. I just started college (students the first year) a week or 2 …. it is too late to enroll in a private dance class (my home) and an acting class in my school? or musical theater? Oh and I can read music …. but I would have to play the flute before singing it. = /
No, not too late, only just started college! I'm assuming they are about 18 then? Still very young. Now, if you have not had a whole childhood singing and dancing skills in these areas can not always be the same as someone who has. But that does not mean you can not develop those skills sufficient to perform certain functions. Take acting classes. If you are a good actress (and ps it's never too late to start that!), then you could learn to sing and move well enough to be at many shows and roles. In addition, hearing for the games in school or community theater. Again, be realistic about your goals and talents. Do not expect to quickly become a great dancer to compete with those with years of training, or a singer so great that it could compete with opera singers. But certainly could become quite sufficient in these areas. If you can read music, that's a big advantage and is fine if you have to play in the first flute. If this is something you love to do, register for classes, audition for the show, and enjoy everything. And never be discouraged by naysayers. Nobody can guarantee to be a star Broadway, but is pretty sure that will not become one if not give it a try!

Jersey Boys (2005 Original Broadway Cast Recording) $8.44 Although it squarely falls in the “jukebox musical” category, Jersey Boys doesn¹t try to integrate its songs in an artificial plotline. The show tells the story of the early-1960s group the Four Seasons, and the musical numbers tend to be introduced in context, as when songwriter Bob Gaudio comes up with a tune, or the quartet performs a show. This allows Jersey Boys to flow better than some of… |
