Cry Baby Broadway is Back!
"Cry Baby" is a Broadway musical version of the 1990 film of the same name by John Waters. It explores side of dissidents mind of John. Although the plot is the typical bad guy versus good girl, the charisma exuded by each character and the rebel teens of the 1950s is worth a watch.
The play "Cry Baby" revolves around the love between two people of opposite. Allison is unable to resist the "boy bad 'charm of Walker and is determined to know how serious it is. A lot of fun breaks in history when people try their best to keep two lovers in their tracks. What can be observed in this work is rebellious teen love, petulant parents, and a little rock and roll music.
When striking lady of comedy, Mrs. Harriet Harris as Allison's grandmother, Vernon Williams, the multi-talented James Snyder as Wade Cry Baby Walker, and Elizabeth Stanley irresistible as Allison Vernon Williams come together on stage, you can expect nothing less than a complete entertainment and fun show.
Directed by Mark Brokaw, "Cry Baby" is scheduled to run on Broadway in March 2008. He was released in November 2007 and ran through December. The games are designed to create environment 1950 in Baltimore. You can feel the rock and roll culture of this time, the rebellion of burning in the hearts of teens, and strong resistance from the older generation during those times.
The book was written by Thomas Meeham, who is considered one of the most reliable "weapons" of Broadway! He has shown splendid creativity by writing for "Annie," "Hairspray," "The" Producers, and Frankenstein "young." All of these shows have been super-hits.
David Javerbaum, who won an Emmy Award and Adam Schlesinger, who won a Grammy, have together lyrics and music fabulous in this work. Rob Ashford has given wonderful choreography. It is famous for his work in "The Wedding Singer", "Curtains" and "thoroughly Modern Millie. "
