It's not a super hit musical that has broken all previous records office will become a Broadway legend. It is "Wicked," which is running four years ago in the theaters! If anyone thought that disconcerting history the witches of Oz could intrigue audience to such an extent? Well, musical director, Joe Mantello and book writer, Winnie Holzman, certainly not have!
However, with fabulous music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz given and musical staging by Wayne Cilento, "Wicked" would not have been better! History is based on Gregory Maguire's best seller. The story tells of the lives of two girls, who meet in Oz before Dorothy input.
One of them has a emerald-green skin, looking elegant and warm. She is largely misunderstood. The other is beautiful, ambitious and popular. Malo follows two young women who are completely different from each other. One of them becomes the Evil Witch of the West, while the other turns into Glinda, the good witch. History has many new characters as well as known to be taken into account.
The show stars Julia Murney in the role of Elphaba, Kendra Kassehaum plays the role of Glinda, the good witch, Lenny Wolpe can be seen as the Wizard, Sebastian Arcelus plays the role of Fiyero, Jane Houdyshelll performed wonderfully as Madame Morrible, Cristy Candler is Nessarose, Logan Lipton can be seen as Boq, and Steven Skybell Doctor Dillamond in history. The all-star cast has shown a remarkable performance, thus contributing to their success phenomenal.
This show is prohibited for children under 4 years of age. While the show is free of sexual representation, there are a few adult themes that may not be suitable for children. The show lasts 2 hours and 45 minutes, however, you never feel bored one second. In fact, I hardly remember to look at your watch! As the mystery of the two witches unfolds you are bound by the spell picturization and action happens on stage. The most interesting part of the story is when they show how the two girls become witches completely different!
All Earth Oz comes to life on stage! You are trapped by the charisma of each character and can hardly escape! If you want to experience the thrill of spending time with the witches, , then book your tickets quickly via phone or Internet. The best place to see "Wicked" is in the front row seats! How close is a magical land, the land where there are no good and black magic, where witches are ardent, ambitious, beautiful and popular!
There is something in "Wicked" that attracts the audience like bees to honey. Does the director of a magic spell in the program or the Wizard of Oz come to life during the filming of the series? Perhaps it is only the union of very talented and creative artists who have made Broadway history!
