kids on broadway?
my grandparents live in new york and my dad was on tv and once in a movie so im wondering can a kid the age of 11 get on broadway
Of course…unless you are talented enough, AND you can handle the pressure & stress on being on Broadway. It also has to be OK with your parents. If you go to an open audition, you obviously have to find out if that production has a role appropriate for your age. MANY children have been on Broadway. For example, Lea Michele (Wendla in Spring Awakening), who is 20 years old now, auditioned for Les Miserables when she was EIGHT YEARS OLD. AND she got the part of Young Cosette & Young Eponine.
There are many roles on Broadway that are appropriate for an 11 year old. Mary Poppins (Michael or Jane), Les Miserables (Young Cosette, Young Eponine), Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Tarzan, Annie, and more.
