Is it bad to go into falsetto to sing a solo on Broadway?
I'm singing "If I can not Love Her" from Beauty and the Beast and I can paste the fine last note, but it sounds good in my chest voice and I was eager to see whether it would be better to just sing in falsetto.
Not sure. Did not have a range between falsetto and chest? Some call them "head" of call, where the resonance is up there with the facial bones that acts as a resonator. Falsetto is something else, even more in the range that "normally" can not reach, as when a man tries to sound like a woman, and there is almost no resonance at all from placement. The high end of a zip line is a kind of falsetto. It is to avoid the effect would be funny, not nice.
