Good contemporary and broadway audition songs for an alto?

I have an audition that is just around the corner and I still need a song. My talent is no where near that of Lea Michele or Barbra Streisand. I have an average voice so no defying gravity or anything. I would appreciate it if your suggestions didn’t include Wicked, Rent, High School Musical, or a song that has been in the show GLEE. I do best with Broadway songs and I appreciate your suggestions. I am also a very comedic actress if that helps, but I need a ballad and an uptempo song.
