Is this a good deal on a timeshare?
I'm almost ready to buy this time share, … $ 6,000 $ 350 550 more dollars the closing costs Maintenance / Week Year 31 (first week of August) Closed annual Sleep 8 Week 2 Br w / lock, beautiful Sheraton Broadway Plantation Resort in Mrytle Beach, SC, where we have and love. I guess the $ 6,000 paid in 5 years with parents giving us a little money every year to come down to our children. Now we have a holiday in this beautiful place every year for life. $ 600/year….yes under which the price is inflated but so will the cost of renting anywhere (This currenlty rental place for $ 1500/week) I have seen this type of timeshare at the SC goes for $ 12,000. What do you think? And no, I need answers people Timeshare saying all together are a bad investment … I'll buy one and use it forever … just wondering if this is good business.
I am not familiar with the area and the prices, but if you have an eBay account you can search for completed sales and see if any T / S sold for that area. Wil give you an idea of prices. Many T / S are going for $ 1 because ecconmy bids right now. Also check out the holiday Rosales Group. Another good resource is Timeshare Users Group.
